As the sun rose across the peaceful city of Adelaide, the silence was
broken by the deep throated growl of the Ford and Holden V8 Supercars
competing in Round 1 of the TOG V8 Supercars Series.
Qualifying resulted in Salas taking pole and WrexXx in the number 2 position.

25 Tarquin - "I thought qulaifying started now, not the race"
After a good start, the cars were, off and racing
A smooth run through the chicane and then through to the first
straight. Well almost, DIC Morbius came unstuck through the chicane and
all but totalled his car. The car had major suspension damage, and he
retired from the race shortly after.

Cheweydog was a bit excited by making it through the chicane unscarred
and attempts to mount Adsa coming into the corner after the first
straight.
Hitting the main straight during lap one finds Salas in the lead, followed by Caffeine_Fiend and WrexXx.

By lap seven it was the end of the race for DIC|Morbius, West, Grandpa,
Cheweydog and Dars. There had been some jostling of positions but now
the field was beginning to settle. Tarquin had by now moved from last
position into eleventh after having reached fifth position during lap
five.

End of the race for Dars. Now, how could that happen?
Lets see it from another angle.
Hmmm, someone didn’t have their eyes on the road.
Major_Mess with no where to go. DaBear was following and faired much better.
Lap ten saw a full course yellow and gave the backend of the field a
chance to catch the leaders following the pace car. The green flag was
out and further fighting for positions followed. This did not last long
due to a further mishap resulting in another full course yellow, and
some confusion amongst the drivers.
The Pace car pulls into the pits and the Green Flag is out.
After the green flag was out again, the field began to spread and
positions were generally not gained or lost more than once every few
laps. The exception was Tarquin, by lap seventeen had moved into second
place behind Salas, who had been leading since the race start.

During lap twenty, Salas lost control and dropped back to sixth. This
then put Tarquin into the lead until he reached the chequered flag. The
top five positions, made up of Tarquin(1st), Meclazine(2nd), Adsa(3rd),
Wrexxx(4th), and Father (5th) held constant until the final lap when
Wrexxx managed to slip inside Adsa, at the hairpin at the end of the
main straight, taking third position overall.

WrexXx makes his move on Adsa towards the end of the final lap.
Wrexx 3rd, Adsa 4th
A mammoth effort by Tarquin to win the race after starting in the
last position on the grid.
