These messages come from an account specific account called "TOG News!"

The notifications that you will be receiving will include things like:

• New articles on the frontpage, member columns, reviews, division news.
• Internal TOG competitions and events
• Announcements for TOG get togethers, drinks, BBQ's, TOG Lan events...
• TOG Competitions
• New forums
• New divisions
• New features and functionalities on the TOG site and forums
• Did you know that you can.... types of informative messages

And everything else that may be of value to our members and visitors.
IF you enjoy TOG and what it has to offer then these notifications  are bound to improve your TOG experience.

I do not want to receive "TOG News!" messages please. 

These messages are only sent out to the "TOG Members" group, although we understand that not every TOG member may be an active member there is no real way for us to "measure your activity" and selectively send out these notifications.

In no way is it our intention to spam your pm box, TOG is a community and this is one of the things that ensures that our community is informed.

So until you either request membership cancellation or take the steps below you will be receiving these notifications, it only takes a minute.
So yes we appreciate your privacy and If you prefer not to receive these types of communications then you can add the "TOG News!" account to your ignore list.

To access your ignore list go to private messages, on the left hand side you will see menu options.
Under Miscellaneous you will see "Buddy/Ignore Lists", simply add the "TOG News!" (including exclamation mark) account there.

You also have a few other options there related to private messages.
Under Settings and Options choose "Edit Options"

Here you can amongst things:

• Disable private messages all together
• Disable email notifications for private messages
• Disable pop up notifications for private messages on the forum
