To get an invite do a fellowship menu search for: Osgiliath Guard and ask a member if an officer is on.

What follows is a set of guidlines that the kin have used for the crafting alts. We are NOT going to count each ore / lumber / item that goes out but please remember that for stuff to go out it also has to come in in some manner.

Primary goal of storage alts is to enhance leveling of crafting.

Deliveries of requested items will be COD for the cost of mailing.

No finished goods. Do not send storage alts finished goods, put finished goods for Kin on Kin Auction at AH or in Kin house chests.

Resources that have been crafted into components can be returned to appropriate Storage Alt

Components that have been made into finished items can be sold to NPC / AH / Kin Auction / made available to kin in kin house chests.

If you use a critical item to craft for kin no repayment is expected though “in kind” return of “crits” is always nice.

Money from sale of items made using TOG/OG materials can be sent to TOGBANK. Cash will be use to pay kin expenses including but not limited to: Kin house rent / event costs etc.

You can send mail to the appropriate ALT asking if material is available. Please send your requests ONLY to the appropriate ALT.

Excess items that accumulate on storage alts will be disposed of as is deemed most appropriate by officers and any proceeds deposited to Kin Bank.

Kin are reminded that the more everyone puts in the more everyone can have access to.

Anyone who want to contribute Gold, Silver, or Copper to Kin can can send it to TOGBANK alt. periodically we will post a thank you to any kin who have done so on the web site.

TOGConsumables: This alt is no longer in use

TOGBank: Stores misc material including donated costumes. If you want a cosmetic costume for your character you can BORROW what is available from Togbank, equip it and return it.

TOGStuff: This will be used for Level 45’s CLASS QUEST ITEMS, overflow and special event storage. If you need a class quest item send a mail message to Togstuff with what you need. The kin runs pretty regular instance runs to Carn Dun (CD) and Uru for the drop items there. Check the TOG/LOTRO calendar for times.

TOGgreens: This ALT is used to store crafting critical items

TOGmetals: This ALT is used to store ores, ingots, jewels, crafted components for metalworking, weaponsmith, jeweler.

TOGorganics: This ALT is used to store wood, lumber, hide, leather, seeds, cooking items. Items used by Forester, Cook, Tailor.

TOGScholar: This ALT used to store scholar items including crit items (eyes) for scholar.

This is a personal collection of observations, hints, tips and tricks that will hopefully help you with your end game RK, but it is not meant to be prescriptive or complete – there is a lot of scope for variation etc that will suit everyone’s different play styles.

Being a compendium this information has been culled from a number of different sites, forums etc as well as from kinnies and other more experienced RKs that are out there (see links to some at the bottom of this wiki), I aplogise if I’ve lifted information from you without proper accreditation…

THE HEALING RK
============================================================================
At end game you will be asked to heal quite a lot, but its not something you do much of when soloing etc so its an aspect of the RK that needs most illumination – it was something I needed the most help with (thanks Yurick for helping me out with my early forays into healing)

STATS **************************************************************************************
The changes that came with Rise of Isengard saw a massive drop in Vitality/Morale and an associated increase in Will/Power, as well as the decreased importance of Fate as a key stat for RKs

Stacking Will should not be a problem at end game (there is a great deal available in jewellery and armour sets), so the emphasis shifts to maintaining respectable levels of Vitality and Morale so as to improve your survivability in end game content

Outgoing Heal Rate, a function of WILL (10 OHR/WILL) and Tactical Mastery is your ‘KPI’ – a measurement of your ability to throw out the heals. With the removal of stat caps you can stack this as high as you want, but there are diminishing returns once you hit 39% – once you are at or near this cap then you can look at improving your Crit Rating (crits can boost your heals, but only sporadically, so I believe it is better to improve your base healing abilities before adding the gravy….)

• Finesse: 1 – 1,500 (Finesse isn’t important for healing as I understand it)

The emphasis switches to survivability in end game content as your gear will have you covered with stats and heal ratings etc – a lot of resistance and mitigation becomes important.
There is lots of wriggle room with Virtues, leaving scope for personal preferences and what the circumstances dictate etc

Power a bit of a problem? Swap Author of Exaltation or Prophetic Word with Overflowing Confidence (Self Motivation will give you the Motivated Buff which will reduce your skill costs by 20% for 30 seconds)

Mae Govannen! Welcome to the Lord of the Rings Online Division of The Older Gamers.

This wiki contains information about the LOTRO Division Guilds (Kinships). You’ll also find useful information on the game, races, classes, crafting and links to TOG Policies, Procedures etc.

To get started with LoTRO you can download a game client from Lord of the Rings Online. ( the download is currently 10Gb so a highspeed connection is needed)
As LoTRO is now on a Free to Play basis you can immediately join the appropriate kin for your region, after having completed the Introduction quests for your character.
There are 3 levels of Player Subscription:
Free to Play: – Pay nothing, Restricted to quests in ‘starter areas’ Bree, Ered Luin, and The Shire and the Epic Quest line.
Premium: – You have paid real dollars to buy Turbine Points for Lotro Store items. Access to auction House, less restrictions on in-game mail, an extra character slot.
VIP: – Maintaining an active subscription. Gives access to all features of the game including Monster Play.

As a member of TOG you have direct entry to either the Osgiliath Guard (Oceania/NA) or the The Order of Gilthoniel (Europe). You will want to post the following information in the proper thread:

Character Name, If you have more then one you should list them all in the body of the post, not just in your signature.

You can also post other useful information such as: Class, Race, Crafting Professions, etc.

When you have completed the above you will be ready for the second part of this phase. Below in the “Leadership” section you will find a list of all officers for both The Osgiliath Guard and The Order of Gilthoniel. Please add a few of these officers to your friends list in-game, when one of them is online send them a /tell asking them to invite you to the kinship. The officer will review your post then send you an invite.

Alternatively Just type Osgiliath Guard or Gilthoniel into the filter box on the Fellowship tab of the Social panel. That will show you a list of the members on-line. Send one of them a tell and they will be able to direct you to an Officer that is on-line

I figured that if I missed it while going through others in or Kin may miss it as well…In fact, there was some discussion about finding the quest giver and the deed in the forum chat a few days ago. So, hoping to help out the Kin I put together some notes on how to complete this deed.

Tracking an Old Goat Deed

• A Dark and Lonely Forest – Aid Andreg with Eyes in the Forest
• Cruel Traps – Disable 5 traps – All traps roughly located at 81.3 S / 12.1 W. they are spread out in this general area and there are more than 5 traps in case you wanted to move around the area a bit to avoid any wandering mobs.
• Grave Corruption -Collect Piles of Oozing Corruption – Roughly located at 82.2 S / 12.0 W
• Hunting the Pack -Defeat 10 Dark Hounds
• Lost Caws -Defeat 10 Crabain
• Orc-Michief -Defeat 10 Orcs

• Eyes in the Forest -Scout the Path to the Rohirrim Camp / Defeat Drugrir

The starter for the deed and the quest is Amlan the Ranger. He can be found at 83.1 S / 14.5 W at a small camp that has a muster horn and campfire. He will give you the initial quest, A Dark and Lonely Forest, and ask you to scout a path to the Rohirrim-Scout Camp. He also gives you a bird-whistle that will summon Andreg the Ranger. Andreg will provide the other quests in the deed at certain points along the way.

Andreg will give you Eyes of the Forest and A Grave Corruption to start with. Once you A Grave Corruption, he will give you 2 more. Next, I received Hunting the Pack and Lost Caws. Once I completed these, Andreg gave me Cruel Traps and Orc-Mischief. FWIW, I was standing at 81.7 S / 12.3 W when that happened.

A Word of Warning/Caution

**Drugrir will drop an “evil object” which will start the quest of the same name.
