Kotaku sent poster photo from a retail source
Game believed to be announced on May 2
THE next Call of Duty video game will be announced in May, according to a "leaked" poster.
Gaming website Kotaku posted an photo they believe to be a poster advertising the "reveal date" of Black Ops 2 - the sequel to the popular 2010 first-person shooter.
The photo - which advertises the date “05. 02. 2012” and the words “Return For Debriefing” - was forwarded to them by a retail source, Kotaku wrote.
The website suggests the words on the poster refer to the debriefing featured in the first Black Ops Game, where players went on missions to uncover a secret conspiracy.
Kotaku believes the date will be a reveal rather than a launch, as Call of Duty games have traditionally come out at the end of the year in time for Christmas.
Earlier this year a screenshot promoting Black Ops 2 was posted on Amazon France briefly, saying developers Treyarch will be offering the game for €69.99 ($89) and will be released in 2012.
