Ok, so, to be clearer.
Only 2D Platformers count. Psychonauts is reputedly awesome, but is 3D. Goldeneye is not only 3D, but an FPS. TMNT, while an absolute blast and bringing back a raft of memories for myself, is a split-level 2D beat-em-up, not a platformer. (Ahh, my bad. Yes, the 2D TMNT versions count! I remember that one now, though i have to admit it's not one of my faves)
I'm not going to quibble about others such as Braid, though puzzlers weren't what i had in mind when i posted the thread
