I have a baby Embermage that I haven't spent any points on yet. I'm going to follow the advice in there and see what I can come up with for a ranged character.

At beginner levels, his Magma Spear one-shots a lot of trash mobs, without any points spent. I think I'll go with Inferno on this guy as Magma Spear's extra reach is handy.
