I would suggest utilising the redstone system (red power) with the ability to get a remote to activate pistons, or fire traps etc. the redpower remote system is incredible, maybe even a melee turtle or something
defiently dispencers with fire charges, lava and piston traps linked to buttons (some even bubi trapped) would be great, and you can change them easily just by changing the signal/frequency
