I could not agree more with both of you. Shades really rock, however they are a REAL credit sink. I'm talking hundreds of thousands of credits....heck Millions! Granted, you can spend as little or as much as you desire on your chosen avatar, but shades do not solo well unless they are well equiped and hence we are back at the whole credit sink.
Don't get discouraged...just know that if you want to run them to the full potential then you will need someone else feeding them credits.
There are really not that many people that understand Shades...No Really! and while you will see them around percentage wise you will begin to see that there are much less then the other professions. Keepers aren't too far behind along with Crats.
