I saw a note somewhere that AO had a million players since they introduced the free play version. It sounds a bit high to me, maybe it was 1 mill toons?

Nice for AO anyway if there is a fair amount of people playing it

I usually fall back into playing AO for a bit when I get tired of newer MMORPGs and are in the process of looking for another. Never stay particularly long on these rebounds though. But since it was my first MMORPG, there is some nostaliga involved which is fun for a while.
