ok gurus
quick one here? is there any way to remap the the textures of the troops ie if i want to have the us troops look like aussie desert diggers instead of them as an addon? is it possible and who would i go about it i found these also, click to preview ![]() ![]() ![]() and for the kiwis ![]() cheers Last edited by jeansy; 13th April 2007 at 11:30 AM. Not too familiar with that side of editing - textures & addons. I only know mission editing and scripting.
I always believed you could only retexture skins through a mod, not inside your mission, since that's the only way I've seen it done. Best option would be to see how these models were reskinned and what's invovled inside these mods. If it looks like it is simply a single or several texture replacements (containing all the texture cut-outs), then possibly you could remap one of the classes defining the skins of those models in your mission too. |

Oh, if you just want to play a mission with them in there, you can include an existing ADF mod in your ArmA start-up and then:
1) create your own mission as per normal but referencing those ADF soldiers and vehicles instead of the standard ones, or 2) modify an existing mission by doing a simple search and replace of all (15 or so) soldiers types in an existing mission.sqm mission file, very easily. Eg: rename all SoldierWMedic (soldier west medic) to whatever the ADF mod uses, eg: ADF_SoldierWMedic. I have a list, if you need them. |
