1.12 beta is out, feels a lot smoother to play.
I put Arma on the shelf for a bit after playing it on release , was a bit to clunky at the time. I have since tried the new 1.12 and it plays a lot more smoother, also added a nice sound mod and it seems very good. Notice a lot of different things in game play as well.

Now using the Armaeffects as well as the AACF, Very Nice
Thanks for that Stompya, also tried a game on a ESC server which seemed pretty good. Starting to get a few players on the servers of late as well I like the Evolution Blue map with the Mobile Headquaters, to spawn near the action. Sneaky buggers those AI ![]()

The v1.14 patch has been released - probably the final one.

That 'final' comment turned out to be a mistake (commonly made by others too at that time). I've since found out, it now means the 'final or official public patch release after a series of beta patches'. Their website states there is still another patch on the way, but a few months away.
It should fix one of the biggest bugs so far. With a server of 10+ players, a joining player can sometimes cause large amounts of lag while he joins. Plus obviously, Arma:2 is scheduled for release next year, so their development focus is mainly on that now. |
