I'm over 25 (I'm 34).
Name: Asharad Hett
I got my gaming start back in the Atari days, but I didn't become "hardcore" until DooM in my college days. I later moved on to Bulliten board games (Tales of the Red Dragon), which led me to my first MMORPG. I played Asheron's Call for 3 years, as part of the Orion Hunters of Morningthaw. We were a mature group, aside from the underwear marathon through the subway.
After Asheron's Call, I moved on to Star Wars Galaxies. I was an Overt Imperial Master Merchant/Architect/Artisan (if you don't know what that means, that means I was a PVP weenie). I played for 2 years under the ITEC umbrelle
www.itec-hq.com. ITEC later moved on to other guilds such as DDO (I run the website there
www.scarletserpents.com - Home), but hasn't been fun for me since SWG. We are currently playing in Vanguard, but I dropped out to find a larger guild. Ok, enough boring stuff.
I don't enjoy an MMORPG unless I'm part of a large guild. Not only that, but the guild needs some goals. I enjoy working on projects for a guild, be it in game or out. I'm usually online after the kids have been put to bed, probably 1-3 hours each night for 4-5 nights per week.
What else can I say? I have 2 boys, both playing youth baseball right now. It's really wearing me down. My Dad is 65ish, with brain damage. He was run down by a drunk driver about 4 years ago (while was was on patrol on his police motorcycle). It's been a tough go for the family, and gaming gives me a break from reality.
OK. Enough essay. Let me in...
PS - I've played EQ2, DAOC, SWG, EVE, WoW, Asheron's Call. My favorites were Asheron's Call and SWG. ok. I'm done now.
