Hi

First I want to clear the official part out of the way:

1) I am over 25 years of age
2) I have read both the AUP and the FAQ
3) I have read the forum and server guidelines

I come here as a refuge from wold of warcraft which lately has kinda lost its luster for me. Before that I played several different online games (eq, eq2, ac2, ao, horizons, swg, coh). My longest periods of playing an online game have been ao ( 1 year) and wow (2 years). Sometimes it kinda feels like one is always seeking the so called "holy grail" of online gaming.

Though it is hard to match the experience what that first online game offered as nostalgia often has a way of coloring the experience in a often too rosy light.Anyway enough of me rambling about my so called experimental years of online gaming. Lets get to the reality of here and now.

Started playing LOTRO on previous friday (when the servers opened early). The game has impressed me so far. Especially the environments are nice and scripted instances are a very nice addition to the normal dungeon crawling what these kinds of games offer.

My chosen class is a champion as I wanted to switch from a caster based class to a melee based class. Reminds me a lot of the berserker class in eq2. Name of the champion is Nardak. I tend to stay true to my chosen class so I dont have any alts.

Atm I am not married but trying to find that perfect girl with her own computer so we dont have to fight over the same one.
