TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi all, I'm Lonejack, I'm 33 years old and I have read both the AUP and the FAQ, and agree to all terms listed therein. I have registered (obviously) and am seeking membership into ToG (obviously again)

I play a variety of games. Currently I have guild wars, city of heroes, city of villains, and diablo 2 running. I also have characters on World of Warcraft (level 60), EVE Online, D&D Online, Star Wars Galaxies, and Everquest, yet these accounts are currently disabled. I am willing to reopen any of these accounts.

When I have time I also like to play strategy games and shooter games (e.g. starcraft, warcraft, civilization series, call of duty series, and even some PS2 online games like SOCOM3).

I am also one of the many who still run pen and paper RPGs at my house on saturdays. We run any system, but currently are running DandD 3.5 and RIFTS. I know this isn't really relevant here beyond background, but I think it adds to my RPG experience.

I first got into online RPGs with Dark Age of Camelot. I played that game religiously from launch through the release of the catacombs expansion. I then went to World of Warcraft, where I spent most of my time, and tried all the others.

What hurts me for game playing these days is time. As I stated in my profile, my wife and I broke tradition in that I am the stay at home parent while she works (it was decided i was better suited for raising our son). He, at 8 months old, is taking up a lot of my time, and he will continue to do so. Most of my gaming occurs when he is down for a nap (if I don't have something else I need to do) or after he goes to bed at night.

I am looking forward to hearing form anyone at ToG concerning my application.

Hi mate,

Welcome to TOG, it looks like you'll fit in just fine around here!

Just sit tight until an admin comes along and approves your application......then mosey on down to the forums for the games you are interested in and introduce yourself.

Undoubtedly you want to get started and the best place to start is to visit the main forum for the game in which you are interested, have a read of the sticky posts and other threads that catch your attention.
