TOG - The Older Gamers

Dear TOG,

Please consider this application for membership.
I have indeed read the Acceptable usage policy, the Frequently Asked Questions and the forum guidelines.

I am over 25 years old, and remember badgering my parents for money to play Space Invaders. I remember 8 bit computing. My first computer had 1k of RAM and we used lego keys to replace the bits missing from the kit. I remember Elite. I remember loading games from audio cassette and I remember being impressed by 4 color CGA graphics, then awestruck by EGA graphics. I remember MUDs and acoustic coupled modems and BBSs and I know what a maths co-processor is. At various times I have owned a 5 1/4 inch disk drive, a PS/2 mouse, a game port adaptor and more joysticks than I can count.

I am interested in joining TOG because a community of mature gamers would be a welcome change from being online with sugar fueled thirteen year olds with ADD.

I mainly play FPS games online, and I am often on the Australian TOG COD2 server (when I can get a slot).
