Default Application: Saan

Hello, All-

My handle is Saan, but feel free to call me Ben, Benjamin, Benny, or Benny Wiggs; Whatever makes you happy.

Anyway, I am 25 years old and I have read the AUP and FAQ. I have been following the game Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising for about a year now. They are preparing to enter into their next stage of Beta and it sounds like the release date is in another month or two, so I am trying to get to know a few folks ahead of time. That way, I will have connections established already once I am in game.

Personal

I am an archaeology student working on my Masters at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. After I graduate in 2009, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. and eventually teach college for a living. Part of this endeavor involves me traveling to Israel every summer for a season with a dig that I am currently on staff with.

Online

I will try to be brief. I have been playing games forever; it has always been a hobby of mine. The height of my dedication to online games involved conceptualizing, developing, and running an OGL for Codemaster's Operation Flashpoint. It was a fun two years, and then I took a break and started my 5-year run with the MMO Dark Age of Camelot. I took another break last fall to finish up my undergraduate studies. That break will soon be over as I look forward to exploring Gods and Heroes:Rome Rising.

I am looking for a GnH guild that is mature, friendly, and laid back. It is important that everyone puts forth their best effort when the guild as a whole is trying to accomplish something. When it comes to competitive PvP (which I love), I hope that everyone will have a desire to grow ever-better, and take criticism constructively. At the same time, criticism should be just that: constructive. I love to help guildies out in any way I can, however one of my biggest annoyances is when we have a guildie that we constantly help out, but then dips when it is time to aid someone else.

Anyway, that is me in brief.
