Default Knoocks on the door and enters

Greetings and Salutation,

First to get the preregs out of the way yes I have read the FAQ and AUP. Even though the AUP is a little tough on older eyes I had to take a break in the middle of that one. Lawyer talk always gives me a headache. Am I over 25 heck even if you reverse those two number I qualify yes I am over 52 and proud of it, although I have been know to act more like a 25 year old then a 52 year old more times then not.

I live in Richmond Virginia
Depending on my work schedule I usually play between 7pm est-12 midnight Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun on Tues and Fri I sometimes can play during the daytime.

Working Deli retail my hour can change at a drop of a pin.

My Gamine history: My first role-playing game was back in college. My teacher Dave was from California. He was all excited about a game called Chainmail He had friend named Gary. They needed some folk to help them test a game that Gary was designing that was based on fantasy and rolling dice to settle the outcome of certain situations that the leader of the group would describe to the party. It would not be until years later that I would realize that I had probably beta Dungeon and Dragons. Yes Gary last name was Grygax it an unusual enough last name to stick in your head.

Fast forward about 25 years My son Joey and I were talking about Dnd I mention how much I really wanted to play it but never found a group to play with. We were going into a mall to buy a gift for Joey’s friend. He was going to a party and dnd game later that day. We enter and there in front of the book store was a big sign Dungeon and Dragons 25 anniversary. Here I meet my first Dm John Steele and start playing table top. I have play several system Dnd ADnD, Dnd3 3.5, Shadowrun, Whitewolf Vampire, Changlings, Mage, Exalted, Warhammer fanstasy. I have played these games on both table top and play by email and over forum play.

The number of single player games are to numerous to mention I sure you all know the ones,, Sims,Sims 2 Oblivion, Vampire, Diablo, Diablo2, Neverwinter night, Nwn2, Fable, Titian Quest and so on and so forth. Of course as my sons can tell you most of these game I never finish get to about 90% and stop. Something about that final boss levels scares me. I never think I can do it. Why I got into multi the idea of another person at my side to help me do that final battles is something very comfortable to me.
Finally getting a computer, a computer that was decent I discover the world of MMORPG. I have played Shadowbane well for about 3 days. Horizons, Dark and Light, I was a Settler in Dark and Light, and of course like everyone and their brother I played WoW. I am currently playing Lord of the Rings. Right now I am not very happy with my current guild.

Now a little bit about me as a player while I may have some experience I not a great player I not one of those folk who can get in game and figure it all out. I can be learn and if someone shows me what to do and explain things to me I can be taught. I can be an asset to any guild I join. To the guild I give my heart to I be willing to give my all to help wherever I can. Do you need someone to group with I am there,if my level is high enough to be where you are. Do you need some one to craft I be there.Do you just need someone to say hello. I am the official greeter in my current guild no one comes online no matter what I am doing without a hello from me and that include all your alts and mules too. Want someone to group with if I am on line look no further no matter where I am or what I am doing if a guildie is seeking a friend and I can help I am there. Does the guild need a certain class a certain craft I’ll do that, need something made I’ll do that. Need someone to be somewhere I be there.

Finally a word of warning I will likely talk to my minion in chat, also the npc and any wander monster that annoys me. I also sing silly songs when I crafting. I also can not speel or tpye wort a darn so decipher what I am saying sort of a mini game in itself, especially when I get excited or I am fighting.

What do I want from a guild is what I find from my tabletop and pbem games a group to play and have fun with. Your description of who you are looks good. So you can talk the talk now can you walk the walk.

I have run into guilds that can talk the talk. Yes they are a friendly guild but when it comes down to it. They do not walk the walk. It how you treat the new players in game when you been in a while when you are all higher level doing your high level instances and a new player comes in or even an member joins the game late.

How you treat that person is walking the walk do you help them and how much help is given? Is it just a bit to get them started and then are they left alone in the Lonelands. Listening to the hi/bye ding chatter in guild. With no one to group with cause you are all too busy. No one to talk to cause you are all talking over voice or in fellowship chat. But they are told not worry when they get to lvl 50 you will group right now they are just too low a lvl.

Maybe on an occasion if the low lvls are lucky the high lvl will descend from their lofty peaks to roll an alt and sweep through an area the low lvls are in like a plague of locus and drag the low lvl though the quest the alts are doing. Since this is the alt 4th or 5th time doing this and the alts can do this blind folded, it easy and boring for them. In a whirlwind of activity the group do the quest and do not understand why the new person or member are not keeping up or looting the mob or getting all the quests that the alt’s have. At they end the low lvl left with half his goals accomplish no idea of what he just did and a feeling of wtf just happened. But he should be happy right after all he been asking to be in a group for weeks, right.

So there you have it what I can offer a guild what I am looking for in a guild and my history. I hope you are the guild I am looking for or else I likely end up going back to playing Oblivion. If your only interact with other folk in game is hello ding and goodbye and maybe if your lucky some crafted items now and then if they remember to make them it not worth the 15 dollars.
