Introducing...

Hello everyone,

I heard about TOG a while ago and liked the sound of a clan consisting of older members very much. As for myself, yes i'm over 25 (unfortunately WAY over 25...) and i have read AUP & FAQ, even the forum/server guidelines just to finally get away from the many kid to mid-teen clans i was involved in since the start of "World of Warcraft". You know, i have nothing against them, but the problems as well as the likes and dislikes of casual puberty (and the occasional sexist/racesist/what have you-statements that always seem to accompany that in Guild Chat) annnoyed me quite a bit.

So i hope that i will get the chance of playing in a more mature community and so i decided to join today. As for me: i am 35 years of age, a postdoctoral-fellow at an University in Berlin/Germany (Humanities and Arts/Philosophy) and i'm into gaming since the days of Pong. As many of you will know, at my age and around my profession, gaming means leading some kind of "secret life", most of my colleagues don't know very much about. Which i enjoy!

My main interest lies within the realm of MMORPGs nowadays and RPGs in General. I've been playing them all pretty much: UO, Everquest, DAoC, City of Heroes, you name it. Since the start of WoW i stuck with this game, because it is the most polished one of it's genre up to date and as you all know, when you get older you grow fond of good servers, no lag and a nice functioning, persistent game world for a change. But i'm interested in other MMORPGs and games as well, for example i'm currently playing "Bioshock" and enjoy it very much (i always loved what Warren Spector and Irrational Games did). In the future i will definitly play "Hellgate: London" and try "Warhammer Online" as well as "Chricles of Spellborn". I just played the Beta of Tabula Rasa and that seems promising too. I'm also a member of XBOX-Live, my Gamertag there is, well, Clubmaster (don't ask, where this name stems from...)

So, i hope that this works as some kind of introduction but i have a question too: Are there any clans associated with TOG on european servers, that i can join? I would gladly transfer some charakters there.

Firstly Clubman, welcome to TOG!

Secondly, by joining as you have just done, you now have full access and full privileges to our extensive Divisions. Not only do they cover many online games, but also are region specific. I'm SURE there's a European WOW Division here, but not being into that game, I shouldn't be too certain.
