TOG - The Older Gamers

Hello - I'd like to apply for membership here - it looks like a great community!

I am 33 years-old, have read the AUP and FAQ, and agree to their terms.

Currently I'm playing Vanguard and would like to join the TOG guild on Seradon. My main character on there is an 11th-level Varanjar Warrior named Ulfjarn. I also have an alt named Myrkrel (originally my main) who is a necromancer. I play other games off and on but this is my main MMORPG focus right now. I am always up for trying other / new games.

I'm located in Portland, Oregon but have a night-owl schedule due to working at night. Depending on the day I can end up playing anywhere between 6 PM to 7 AM Pacific time. I work more on the weekends so usually I have more gaming hours to spend on weeknights. I am self-employed though so my hours are fairly flexible.

My gaming history briefly:
- Lifelong gamer - began in the 80s with DOS games on the PC, and tabletop D&D (still playing this.. and still play old DOS games sometimes too)
- RPGs are my favorite genre though I enjoy some other genres too
- MMORPGs played in the past: UO, EQ, EQ2, SWG, DDO, LoTRO, WoW
- MMORPGs currently playing: Vanguard, EQ2
- other Multi-player RPGs: Neverwinter Nights, NWN2 (though I haven't really started this yet), virtual tabletop online
- I also enjoy single-player RPGs from the 80s classics to roguelikes to the newer-gen stuff like Morrowind / Oblivion.

Other personal info:
- I am self-employed as a freelance digital artist / illustrator, and specialize in fantasy art and game content creation. My sweetheart / adventuring partner in both real-life and in game worlds goes by the name Gwerda on this site (she is also applying today). We often play as a duo in MMOs. Other personal interests / hobbies of mine are art, music, programming, game development, fantasy, myth / folklore, metaphysical stuff, and generally being creative.

Currently TOG consists of over 26 game divisions and has over 17,000 registered members. There's also plenty of other cool stuff on TOG, so browse around & check it all out. On a side note, I'd like to welcome you and your partner to TOG! Great to see people pairing up like this. You both sound like pretty interesting people, so I'm sure you'll not only fit right in, but be warmly welcomed with open arms.

We have many different divisions for games and likes, so please, take some time to have a good look around, and feel free to post up anywhere and everywhere.
