Hello! It's me, Drakanor. No, you probably don't know me.
I reached this site through a signum in a gaming forum and I have to admit, that I'm quite surprised to find such a large community dedicated to retired....erm....older gamers. Because I'm in the early 30's now I start to look for mature mates to play together with, primarily in MMO's. Maybe this is the place for me to rest and to have a deeper gaming experience than in the usual one-game-oriented clan/guild.
These are the reasons why I'm posting here, so maybe someone would like to pick me up for one of the games I'm currently playing or planning to play:
Tabula Rasa (Beta, pre-ordered)
Fury (Beta)
Quake Wars (upcoming)
Team Fortress 2 (upcoming)
Hellgate London (upcoming)
I was playing the following games, maybe somebody knows me from there:
The Realm (my first MMO in the late 90's, truly addictive)
EVE Online (playing as Alenna

)
Q3 TrueCombat (yay!)
WoW (playing as Locos for Nightskull guild, a rather unmature experience)
...and many others not worth mentioned here.
I'm 35 (now it's going downhill *g*), work as a software developer and live in Europe (Germany). This might explain my bad english, tho I understand when you are making fun of me. I just can't reply properly, but I will make notes for later.
I have read the FAQ, the Acceptable Use Policy as well as the Forum & Server Guidelines. Very solid I have to say. While reading the FAQ I noted the following statement about contribution:
"Not all contributions are financial, if you have anything to offer which would be useful do let us know. One of the things we can use is a high bandwidth
internet connection allowing us to TOG host gaming server(s)."
Well, I'm owning a root server located in Germany with 2 TB traffic and a 100 MBit connection. All it's used for now is a Teamspeak server and a forum, so I'd really like to see it sweat under the pressure of a game server running on it. Maybe you'll find that useful for some EU game division or just mirroring. Just a suggestion for later, time will tell.
Greetings,
Drakanor
