The Real Dirt:

I work for the US Army in Germany (civilian after 8 years active duty). Married for over 20 years now to the same wonderful woman who puts up with me. An almost 20 year old daugter who is learning interior design (WARNING: Daddy keeps a shotgun in the closet).

I'm not much one for playing multiple games at the same time (ADD) so I have spent the last year and a half playing Guild Wars. I recently resigned my alliance liason position with a large alliance.

What I'm Looking For:

A mature place where I can relax with others.
Voice comms (TS or Vent) as I can't type and play @ the same time.
New friends.

I was going to post down in your app but did not want to look like I was hi-jacking your thread Since you got mine I guess all is cool. I looked around here as you suggested and it looks (from what I can see) as good as you said.

After I left ___ I made a guild called "Get Off Me [Duck]" just to keep the town criers and forced guild invites away. Took a few days of heros/henchies and enjoyed the game for a change instead of answering whispers from alliance members with questions. I enjoyed working with all the guilds but it just got too political for me and the game play was getting less. Besides, I miss my patented "Hello Everyone " on the alliance channel I decided it was time to find a new home after typing "hey" in my guild channel and my mule account wouldn't answer even though he was online

Saw you were accepted here, good move on their behalf. Hope to catch you in-game again soon with the same capes again.

Thanks Gee and everyone else,

I still play GW. I was in my last guild since Mar 2006 when we started it up. We reached 90+ and had 7 other large guilds join our alliance. I quit all that because it was just too political in the end. That was the only "real" guild I have ever been in so I didn't want to jump into the first one that came along. Joe told me about TOG so I came here to look around. I think TOG-5 looks the most promising for me, and I am sitting around waiting for one of the officers to come online.

Looking forward to meeting new folks and having some fun!

Hey, TS is a big change from Vent. Trying to get my $9 mic to work on my $1000 computer.... Think I might spend more money for a new mic tomorrow
