Permission to come aboard?

The title in my introduction might tag me as an old Star Trek boy, or Zut Alors!, even a fan of the Hornblower series (the books, not the BBC series - no disrespect to Ioan Gruffudd)...or even both! The first is definitely being made into an MMO, and the second, well...I think PotBS can be whatever you want it to be!

But enough rambling, I am dragonlibrarian, and I am indeed a librarian but only a dragon sometimes - from hoarding treasure to flaming peasants...well, I can't say peasants anymore, politically incorrect, I believe, but dammit, if Johnnie Howard our PM can treat us like peasants, then by golly the word should be re-introduced! Oh, by the way, that is a just a joke for the sake of making a joke, and not any political leanings on my part - really!

I am 42 years of age, but hoping to find the fountain of youth, an obliging vampire, or a mad scientist to put me in the body of an eternally repairing robot...okay, which leads to me saying I love reading sci-fi and fantasy, playing RPG and adventure games, and roleplaying occasionally with friends. Occasionally I stick to topics, but if this introduction is anything to go by, it doesn't last for very long. I would very much like to join this esteem group, and join in the fun and frivolity albeit at a mature level...no, I don't know what that means either!

While I've played everything from Dungeon Master to Bioshock, from WoW to LOTRO, at the moment I'm playing TR2, HL2:2 and Tabula Rasa. Currently I'm in a Shadowrun campaign (the RPG, not the silly PC game that's really a shadow of its potential!) and I'm also playing Jeanne D'Arc on the PSP and Phoenix Wright on the DS...I know, I'm such a games floosey!!!
