Hey guys, my name is Rua I'm 26 from Newcastle NSW

I've been a gamer for most of my life ever since my first Atari at the age of 6 and my first PC at 8.

I have a partner of 9 years and a 6 yr old son and we are all gamers.

These days I rarely game on my own, it’s usually either playing Wii and Xbox with my son on weekends or various PC & Xbox games with my wife in the evenings.

A few months back we finally banished the devil known as World of Warcraft after playing it for far too long and raiding at the top level becoming more like a second job than an enjoyable past time.

Since then we have tried a few other online rpg's, Vanguard(ewww), LOTRO(good, but way too slow, and too much mindless busy work), we beta test Tabula Rasa and were sorely disappointed, being an old school Ultima and UO player as well it hit me pretty hard with how bad the game was, I had very high hopes.

Recently we have been beta testing Hellgate London and absolutely love it, admittedly it has been fairly buggy and unfinished but it seems to have rediscovered the long lost element of outright fun within an online RPG, after being involved in WoW to a hardcore extent it is refreshing to have a game where you don’t need to spend hours grinding so you can grind, waiting for the "right class" to log on, analysing your dps output etc etc Its a game where you can log in jump straight in the action and play for 10 mins or 10 hours, at the moment I think its the kindof game we need

The main reason I’m looking to join is I heard there will be a large TOG following in Hellgate, even though I’ve been aware of TOG for a long while, a good mate X-Sesiv has been playing with you guys for quite some time, now seems a great time to get involved and hook up with those of you who will be heading into Hellgate London.

My wife is picking up our copies today, and with the servers going live we all should be able to play tonight!!

Welcome aboard Rua, I have just recently started playing WoW myself, after refusing to play for so long. So still not at the stage where I am sick of the grind etc (my highest character being 24). I have heard mixed reviews on Hellgate although most of them have been positive, there have been a few here and there with negative views towards it. I will no doubt jump in and have a go at some stage and see what its like.

I am sure an Admin will be along soon to annoint you with the big TOG'n stick
