TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi thought I better introduce myself

I'm a stay at home mum to 3 kids, I'm married for 6 years next month (poor hubby lol) and I live in Sydney's west. Im also 30 years old (getting to old lol)

I'm been a gamer for a long while, since a child... Ive had Tandy with tape decks, to Commodore 64, Amiga 500 (then 1000 once we got the chip thing put in) then a IBM compatible... that when I lived at home.

Been thru 3 pc's since Ive move out of home as they got to old to play games that I enjoyed.

I did have some consoles, did have a sega mega drive which only had sonic the hedgehog on it lol got a PS1 years back and was addicted to Hospital game on there, otherwise that wasn't a big console gamer... hubby enjoys them more then me. And now my sons love the PS2 more then anyone here lol... (I don't let them on the PC much its MINE

)

I played many games in the past, enjoyed a lot of the simulation games Railway Tycoon, Sim city and the Sims series... also love Civilization, warcraft and those style games too. Played some adventure games more in the Amiga days like Aurthur & Ultima on the commodore 64

I was a big Sims 2 fan, until my friend showed me world of warcaft. Now that my new thing... its harder now days when I was younger living at home I played many games at the same time, but now I can only afford one gaming addiction LOL

Being a mum to 3 kids and a housewife there not much time left for gaming so Sims 2 has been some what booted while I play WoW.

So been playing WoW for about over a year now, I don't watch TV anymore as this is my downtime now. My parents are hooked too.. I didn't think mum would like it but she loved it and my parents brought another PC so they could play together... my dad 53yrs old and mum 50yrs old... people don't believe it they play together they love it at there age. They find it a great way to spend time together, and mum loves killing things after a bad day at work

My hubby not a gamer much, his parents never had pc or anything, he did have a Nintendo when we met and he enjoy the PS2 but only certain games... he loves GTA style games and he did enjoy God of War but until they bring a GTA style game on-line he wont touch the PC anytime soon lol

Thats me and my gaming history, I also visit a mums forum a bit so some of my time there chatting to friends.

So that me in a nut shell... glad to see other gamers around my age too and see you around the forums...

I am over 25 years of age
