TOG - The Older Gamers

Hello,

My name is Syd and I am an older gamer.

I'm currently playing a bit of WoW, a bit of Lord of the Rings, a bit of BF2 and a lot of some silly Xbox360 arcade games.

I have played BF2 (very badly) for the AEF and Age of Mythology for Au clan. For me, the social side of my gaming as always been as important (if not more) than the games themselves.

I work as the series Producer of Good Game for the ABC and was thrilled to see TOG members and Father in our show this week. The audience feedback to the segment has been phenomenal - it's now "best of abc" on the abc home page - thanks to you

abc.net.au/goodgame for anyone who'd like to watch the segment. When I created the show I always wanted to look at the wider culture of gaming - and for GG to not to only be a game review show... so I'm particulary happy that the community seem to enjoy these stories as much as we enjoy making them.

When I was watching the story and listening to your members I was thinking "I should join" so here I am. When the show is in production my time is limited but I love to play every opportunity I get.

Welcome to TOG! I'm one of the many female gamers here, I've only been a member for a few days but I dont think you could find a better group of gamers than the TOGgers!!

Saw your show - Good Game on ABC2 for the first time on Tuesday night and thought it was great, especially the TOG segment

Will be tuning in regularly now (or taping it when I'm at work).
