Uzzdano and several of his real life friends who are in TOG.
About myself:
Hello, my rl name is Jay and I'm applying TOG at the request of a friend Uzzdano who plays World of Warcraft in one of your guilds on Proudmore (horde side). I'm 31 (since august), single, and filling my time with the gym, art classes and playing some wow (less then about a year ago).
My play time will likely be 8-10pm pst (maybe later or so) and weekends until I finish my gym obligations (improve yoruself right?).
I work at a startup in Sunnyvale, CA, and live in Saratoga, CA. It is a gaming software company founded by Thresh (#1 ranked quake player ~1996). He also founded and sold XFire to MTV.
If you want to watch a beatdown in quake deathmatch there are some youtube movies.
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
And yes, he beat me badly. I look forward to starcraft 2 when I can level the playing field.
Gaming history:
World of Warcraft ~ 2 years
- Started on Tichonodrius (pvp/alliance) leveling a druid to 60.
- Started some more toons on Shadowsong (with friends, including Uzzdano when I closed my everquest guild down). This incldued a 60 warlock, rogue and eventually a shaman.
- Moved some toons to Uldum and joined a raiding guild with my shaman. Completed through but not including the killing of Kael in the eye as an Enhancement shaman (
The World of Warcraft Armory for those that are curious).
Prior for about 6 years from 2000-2006 I played everquest. I ran an everquest guild which completed the GoD expansion (started at PoP) for about the last 3 years. I let it go when it became very difficult to convince people to log online (keeping 54 mouths to feed is quite difficult).
Prior, prior to that I played descent, command and conquer, starcraft, all variants of early quake/unreal tournament. And the further you go back, the further you will games will age a bit. My dad worked at atari when I was 6-8 and had a whole collection of 2600 games and my baby sitter was the free arcade they had in their building. Centipeed for the win.
Console wise I own the 360 and wii. I love helping making parties happened (I love to cook), and am waiting more opportunities. Perhaps fly to PA visit uzzdano and bake him a cake.
Regards,
Jaul (26 horde paladin on proudmore)
