Not only have I read them, but I fully agree with them.

I'm 35, and currently reside in Boise Idaho. Engaged to a lovely gal, who enjoys gaming herself. We've recently moved from South Florida, where she and I were both born and raised. My career has always been in Management and computers/networking... but currently seeking a change. I own a ranch outside of Casper Wyoming, in which I hope to settle down on in the next year or two. My fiance and I are looking to start up several small businesses, as well.

On the gaming end, I've been gaming ever since the first Atari console was released. Began playing MUDs over college telnet, before the internet became public and commercialized. Got into Doom, Duke Nukem, Command & Conquer, and similar titles online. Became a beta tester for Mplayer, and a moderator for MSN Games. Played Diablo, D2, and now own Hellgate London. I'm also into FPS games, and have enjoyed Rainbow Six, RavenShield, Joint Operations, Battlefield series, and the likes. As far as MMORPGs.. I have interests there as well. I've played Ultima online, EQ, EQ2, WOW, Guild Wars, and a few others.

As you can see... I am (like I'm sure many of you are) no stranger to gaming. However my one true passion is the comradery and teamwork within many of these titles. I've been fortunate to have experienced many of the positive effects of co-op play, competition play, as well as organized raids. It's not an easy thing when so many adolescents, and simply immature players exist. Sometimes, just the actions of one individual, can spoil a lot of hard work and planning of a group.

Back when Joint Operations came out... I met a small group of like minded players who were discussing starting a clan. We formed an Adult clan known as AGE (Adult Gamers Elite) .. and had come a long way over the years. Basically it was an 18 and older gaming clan which primarily focused on FPS / War-themed FPS play. While it still somewhat exists today, the original founders, many previous members, and myself are no longer a part of the daily going ons anymore.

While playing Hellgate today I ran across someone known as Deadsoul (whichever TOG member that character belongs to)... who informed me of TOG. It immediately got my attention, and I'm glad to see such a thriving community of adult gamers. I'd sincerely like to be a part of TOG, from everything I've seen and read. If everything goes well, I look forward to meeting many of you, and making new friends.

Deadfyre, perhaps I am overlooking something... or merely misunderstood you. I've looked everywhere I could within the forums (and yes, while signed in)... and could not find any "invitation nor introduction" threads that you seemed to be referring to.

I apologize if I'm overlooking something that should be easy enough to find.

Ah, easy to misconstrue. These barracks are in the public forums, for new/non members to hang out. This lasts until acceptance, when a mod reviews your application, and upon agreeing to the proper stuff (age/FAQ/AUP), your in an essence TOGgerized. After which time, the rest of the forums open up for full members. The Hellgate forums are in the MMO division forums.

I realize it seems like a whole lotta trouble to go through, but we have a lot of folks, and this creates a virtual paper trail which keeps it easier on the mod's to keep track of everyone.

This way also lets everyone up on the rules of TOG, which arent really rules, just nice aged gaming morales of fair play that we should adhere too in order to keep everyones gaming interests in the good.
