Hi there,

I'm an old fart, in gaming circles and pro sports apparently, and have been playing games since Zork on my c-64 and Asteroids on the Atari 2600. I thought I was in heaven playing flight simulators on my uncle's compact PC (it was bigger then a suitcase with a 5 or 6 inch screen) and had green lines for mountains. Games have sure come a long way since.

Before the kids were born I was in a LMCTF Quake2 clan called NEA and we were at the top of the leader boards longer then any other clan. I'm very competitive and so was everyone else so we gelled pretty well and excelled quickly. I was in charge of team practices and played defense as I had more patience then everyone else and could camp the flag. Then Q3 Arena came out and nobody liked it so we all went our separate ways.

10 years later I'm I'm still gaming but also working full time with 2 boys in baseball and Cub Scouts, and have limited my gaming to casual gaming solo or with friends. I generally play 2 or 3 games at a time and get really involved in them until I've completed them or become bored. I have boxes of games all over my desk, most unopened and uninstalled waiting for me. Funny how I had all the time for gaming when I was younger but couldn't afford them or the PC's to play them, now I have a good job and can afford as many as I want but don't have any time to play them. Life is cruel.

I'm currently playing TF2 and LOTRO. I'm pending a graphics card update to start playing C&C3 and CoD4.

My main purpose for joining TOG is to join the The Osgiliath Guard in LOTRO to game with my coworker and his friends. He referred me to the site but unfortunately I don't know his TOG user name, only his LOTRO characters. Some of his LOTRO characters are reddye, strumminfool, and Scarletscar to name a 3rd of them. The guy really likes to have choices.

After reading about TOG is sounds like I may find others who are interested in RTS games, my other gaming passion besides FPS. I never got into Blizzard's games but I'm a fanatic for Westwood and have Dune and all the C&C and Red Alert titles.

I am 37 years old and I have read and agree to abide by the following:

1. TOG Code of Conduct
2. TOG Acceptable Useage Policy (AUP)
3. Forum & Server Guidelines
4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Document
5. Signature and Avatar Guideline

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to gaming with you.

Regards,

DoomOnYou
