Good evening

Tim's the name, though of course more known as Monk or Grinningmonk, depending on the game/forum if someone has beaten me to the Monk nick.

I hail from Brisbane Queensland Australia.

I have been lurking around for a few days now getting up the courage to apply and after having a fine time in DOD:S on a TOG server just recently (until the wife ruined my ping with her ebaying on the laptop) I decided to give it a crack.

A little about me:

Have been gaming for many moons, the first machine I owned being the original NES. While going through a couple of generations of Nintendo machines and the first from Sony, I had the opportunity to experience PC gaming with two classics: Civilisation and X-Wing.

After purchaisng my first ripp snorter of a pentium way back in the day, Civ 2 confirmed my status as a PC gamer.

I've not played much online since I was an active member of a clan that was dedicated to Shogun: Total war (such a fine game that one...ahhhh the memories) and was in the top 100 players on one or two occasions. Work, my music and general lack of a half decent connection kept me out of it when games started requiring cable etc to be played online with out getting completely owned by the time you have logged on.

Have recently decided to get back into online gaming, Crysis being the game that has bought me back and have since added CS:S, DOD:S, HL2M, and a couple of others to my collection, as well as having copies of FEAR (both retail and FEAR: Combat) and Americas Army. Also have begun to play Guild Wars, and would love to play GRAW2 if I could find my flamin CD Key , gonna look again tonight for that. Been having a real ball with DOD:S of late. Am also looking to add something like UT3, Frontlines or ET:QW to the stable if they come on sale in the mid year clearances I dont believe in paying to play a game after I have bought the box, so count me out of WoW etc (I wish Eve was free to play, Eve is the only one I would consider paying for)

Have deceided to try for TOG as I would like a nice clan/community that I can develope my ever so rusty skills in a good environment ( I must say the TOG players i was playing with recently displayed great levels of Skill, Diplomacy and Understanding while I kept getting shot in my noobie head

Anyhoo that'll be enough on me rabbiting on.....I hope I have adressed the criteria, not spelt too badly and have at least not made a fool of myself
