Um, hi. Silvy and Rosie said I should join, so here I am.

I'm not actually 25 yet; I am about 2 1/2 months away (September). If this is a problem, no worries, I'll just re-apply after my birthday.

I have read and will abide by the Code of Conduct, the AUP, Forum & Server Guidelines, the Signature and Avatar Guidelines, and I've read the FAQ.

As far as gaming goes, well, I do a little bit of everything. Mostly, I play console rpg games, Final Fantasy, Shadow Hearts, MegaTen, the Tales series, etc. However, recently I've been getting into online games as well. I play a little WoW, I'm just getting into Guild Wars, and I'm looking into Ragnarok Online. There are also a few PC games I play, when the mood strikes me. I also run a chat-based D*D game, and do freeform play-by-email and play-by-post games.

I live in the wilds of East Tennessee, which means that there is a considerable lack of reliable real-life gaming to be had. I would like to join TOG because thus far, I've discovered that trying to rp on a MMORPG is an exercise in futility, unless you know the other players.

I guess that's about it.

Another way to read this rejection is: "Thank you for your honesty, however if you'd lied like other members have you'd be apart of us, so please take your honesty and shovel it; until you can honestly be part of us..." (not to name names but I know of more than two people who've lied about their age to join tog GW's guilds)

(Seriously, she's expected to go guild-less for 3 months of game time until she can join her friends (us) us in a tog guild? Since when did rules become so concrete a small exception was impossible?

HOPE, guild formed by former tog GW's members who left for (apparently justified) reasons is willing to make exceptions to their age policy on a case by case basis, something; well, most adults are capable of doing?

I'm rather insulted by such unthinking mechanical adherence to the letter of the rules and the rudeness of thanking her for her honesty while still rejecting her. (and embarrassed to be a part of a group that condones such unthinking obedience)

Ria Hawk, Yes it is true that there is one rule that will not be broken. As a TOGger and a TOG GW player I will extend an invitation for you to group with any TOG GW groups forming. If I am in game, shoot me a msg anytime if you need anything(toon names are in Sig) and I will add you as a friend.

And if it is ever discovered, the result would be automatic banning with no re-apply. I think it is better to just wait myself. And a bit more of the mature thing to do.
