G'Day
Don't let this name fool, you - it was the best I could come up with at the time of creating my first character, and it is has kind of stuck since then (In game on Guild Wars it is Vargas The Cruel - without the underscores in between).
I am a 40 y.o. male Police Officer (CSI) from Adelaide, South Australia - married with 2 kids. I have always enjoyed computer games, playing mostly RPG's (D&D mostly - yes, I was one of those kids at high school in the early 80's sitting at the back of the library at lunch time playing D&D!), and have only started on-line gaming in the last few years. Having started with Asheron's Call, I now play Guild Wars - and am looking for a guild to join in-game. I have met a couple of players on line about my age who are in the TOG Guild, and I would very much like to join - the people I have met from this guild are great and it sounds like the sort of group I would enjoy gaming with. As a shift worker, my playing times are varied, but I do manage to get on line most days of the week.
As to the requirements of joining TOG:
- I am over 25 (40 y.o.).
- I have read and AGREE to abide by the TOG Code of Conduct
- I have read and AGREE to and abide by the TOG Acceptable Useage Policy (AUP)
- I have read and AGREE to abide by the Forum & Server Guidelines
- I have read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Document.
- I have read and AGREE to abide by the Signature and Avatar Guideline.
I hope you find my application acceptable. Playing Asheron's Call was an education, as far as being a member of a Guild (or in the case of AC - Allegiance) - I found it annoying to be referred to as a 'Noob' or 'Gimp' by kids because I didn't know everything there was to know about every aspect of the game. Being a member of a community of people around my own age who can remember world events/movies/music prior to 1990 would be very refreshing. I would very much like to become a member of the TOG Guild in-game with Guild Wars.
Forwarded for your consideration.
