Greetings, all.
I've been playing pencil-and-paper AD&D since about 1983. My experience with "online" gaming began with the old text-based adventures on the teletype terminals -- if you're as old as me, you know what I'm talking about
: thermal paper rolls, telephone handset jammed into two matching rubber holes on the terminal.
The latest of my online gaming experiences has been with LOTRO and Age of Conan; both very interesting and entertaining. Most recently, however, I've been focused on AoC. And like all good MMORPGs, AoC works best with teamwork.
I've seen quite a few TOG members traipsing about the various maps doing this and that and have spoken with one or two along the way. TOG seems to comprise a group of like-minded folk who are more mature than the average 13-yr-old on WoW -- a game I avoid like the plague, incidentally, for that very reason.
I am 42 years old -- which I believe allows me to pass the age litmus test. I have indeed read the AUP and FAQ and I do agree to the terms and conditions in both.
I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario (with a brief stint in the UK as a child while my father was on sabbatical at the University of York). I currently live in a suburb of Toronto (Unionville) just north of the city.
I look forward to gaming with you, my eldred brethren!
Cheers,
Korzakh
