TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi All,

I'm 29 years old going on to 30 at Feb 2009 and have been playing video games from as far as i can remember. My main interests are RPG's and have played MMO's from Ultima Online, Anarchy Online, WoW and now Age of Conan (Gwalhur) which is the whole reason why i am applying for membership here. I am currently guildless with a low level character in AoC . I love MMO's and currently would like to have a sense of comradeship whilst levelling up my character in game.

Since all "new" players are veterans to MMO's it's just very hard to find a decent group in game. I'm newly married as well and find that though i enjoy playing games online i also need to dedicate alot of time outside of the game therefore i'm now more of a casual gamer as oppose to a hardcore gamer.

I play other games as well both the FPS type and RTS genres. I am located in Sydney and would probably play the AoC consistently from Wed-Fri 6:30-10:30 pm and erratic times at other days.

Hi There edisplif. If you are interested in MMO’s Drop by the Guild Wars Division forum TOG Guild Wars Division and say Hi. If you don’t have the game yet, we also have some trial keys if you are looking to try a new game.

We have an alliance of 6 guilds across times zones playing at the moment.

Check out New Member thread When you're ready to jump into the mix, just post an invite request for the guild that most closely matches your play times and join the fun. Thanks for the welcome all

Just a little bit about myself (again), I currently own 2 consoles both a 360 and Ps3 and have been out of PC gaming for awhile now. I had a relapse in WoW just last year but have gotten bored with both end game content and the lack of grouping.

I've also been decommissioned lately in terms of PC gaming since my old rig wasn't up to scratch however ... with new PC in hand (courtesy of my recent marriage *cough*) i'm enjoying a few games.

I'll have a look into Red Orchestra and DoD however i've just recently got Quake Wars so i might give that a go first.

I would stem off Guild Wars for now as i'm enjoying AoC atm (yes yes i know about all the bugs i.e. lag spikes etc). If AoC doesn't turn out i might re-return to previous bad habit which is WoW on Proudmoore.

In terms of lowbies/newbies like myself in AoC is anyone willing to group up at some point, i'm erratic at the moment in terms of times of play but Wed-Fri i'll probably be on regularly (6:30-10ish).

Oh and can't wait for Diablo 3 - Had a Level 92 Amazon back in Diablo 2 and loved every minute of it.
