I have been a gamer for over 24 years starting, as many my age did, on the ZX Spectrum playing every thing from JetPac through to the later games like R-Type, Captain Blood, etc. Was, of course, and early adopter of the PC with my first game on the PC being Silent Service II along with 7th Guest, Loom, and then progressing with the latest releases until I could not keep up with them.
Over the past few years I have focused on online games and started playing Eve-Online in 2003 just after it was released. I occasionally still play but this games demands focused time which I am unable to give. Also enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies where I had a lvl 90 Bounty Hunter when hunting Jedi was challenging and fun (for me at least) before the NGE and along with my son (Zyron - lvl 90 Jedi made the original way/Volderran) left the game. Played Lord of the Rings Online for a while but did not find it mature enough and feel it lacks good PvP, really good crafting, story, and graphics, though. Then moved on to Tabula Rasa which I found lacked a sense of community and also PvP, I'll keep it on standby in case it changes as I like the sci-fi concept.
Currently I am playing Age of Conan which shows great promise. Not yet in a guild and am playing on a PVP-RP server but also have a character on PVE and and standard PVP server. I have an Assasin and Dark Templar at the moment. really want to see the PVP & RP rulesets enforced as too amny kids are running around like it was an Unreal server which is not good for immersion in my opinion.
