Gaming information:
I have been a gamer of some sort pretty much my whole life, from playing cards and other games growing up, to pong, then my Atari 2600 and others. Went to college and started playing D&D and war-gaming with miniatures, later I got into PC games playing Ultima before it went online and then a few years later the first Civ. As far as MMOs I've played The Realms, EQ (twice), Anarchy Online, Planetside, City of Heroes, World of Warcraft (three times), Hellgate London, EVE, and now Age of Conan. I've never stopped playing "offline" games and even their "online" spawn, such as Half-life/counterstrike, Dialbo etc.

My information:
I'm married and we have 4 kids, the youngest of which turns 18 in a couple of months, also have a grandson who is closing in a 3. I've been a police officer for close to 20 years now, with the last 14 years spent working sex crimes up until this month when I switched out of it. So it is pretty much impossible to offend me. That mix has also been good practice for not offending others, since what I consider normal conversation with my friends and co-workers is not always normal to others, so I'm pretty careful with my audience and that translates to the forums also.

I tend to haunt forums a lot, in that I am fortunate to be able to steal a little bit of time several times during the day from work. My play schedule can be extremely varied, if I end up having to do any shift work, but for the most part it is during the evenings (US time) and weekends.

I got my start with the 2600 as well. You're in good company here. Go check out the various forums. We have a comfy lounge where people will attempt to test your immunity to offensive with material such as back episodes of "Dr Quinn Medicine Woman" *shudders*.
