I am a 28-year old corporate lawyer and lifelong gamer, and should like to join TOG.

I suspect my reasons for wanting to join are similar to most peoples', namely that being (a) grown-up; (b) married and (c) employed full-time, my interests and perspectives on life are different from when I was younger, and it is pleasant to be part of a gaming community that broadly understands and shares these.

There is also a second element; I come from the UK but am shortly relocating to Hong Kong. It's quite exciting to find a group of fellow gamers based partially in those exotic Pacific time zones that I'll be living in as of next month!

I also confirm the following:

• I am over 25;

Ta Mix for your friendly post! I play on PC, X360 and PS2, and may well grab a Wii and PS3 in due course.

I should confess to being almost totally undiscriminating as a gamer. On balance I probably play more strategy and RPG titles than other sorts, but in-between bouts of Dom3, Civ4, Witcher, EU3 Mass Effect and so on I'll boot up Team Fortress 2, GTA4, Crackdown or what have you to pass a few hours without thinking too much.

Lots of RTS, most recently Supreme Commander. Damn I love that game. Slowly progressing up the 1v1 table.

Also MMOs. Horrible timesinks, but still - I play EVE regularly and am looking forward to getting started in WAR next month. Have dabbled with DAOc, WoW etc. with forgettable pick-up guilds.

Survival horror and slasher-types don't appeal at all, so I've never been much tempted by, say, Resident Evil or Manhunt. Otherwise, just about anything and everything.

(Oh, and a whole bunch of Chinese & Taiwanese games, since I've lived there and read the language. Quite handy since the move to HK is coming up).

Nice to see you play a bit of TF2 we have a great custom server based in Aus. You may find the ping bearable too, we have one member who joins us from Okinawa and he says it is not too bad. As for WAR , TOG has a strong presence already established there, once approved you will have unrestricted access to the member only forums... head over to the WAR forum and have a sticky beak
