G'day all,
the name's Lord Flasheart, and yes, that means I'm a Blackadder fan. ANYhoo, I'd like to be a TOG member as well as be part of the WAR Online guild.
first up:
- You are over 25. Sadly, yes, I turned 30 a few weeks ago.
- You have read and AGREE to abide by the TOG Code of Conduct Yup.
- You have read and AGREE to and abide by the TOG Acceptable Useage Policy (AUP)I do.
- You have read and AGREE to abide by the Forum & Server Guidelines I have
- You have read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Document. Yes.
- You have read and AGREE to abide by the Signature and Avatar Guideline. Absolutely.
I've known about TOG for a few years, having had quite a few run-ins with TOG across the BF2/2142 servers, back when I was a Lost Division member (please don't hold that against me). I'm definitely looking for a mature group of gamers to run with, and you guys were top of my list. (By mature I mean of course being old enough to remember fiddling with your config.sys file to scrape together enough ram to run Wing Commander, or, even better, remembering when games arrived in tape form.) Ahhh... nostalgia.
Anyway, I'm a regular joe, a suburbanite slob, if you will, with a wife but no kids (yet) but definitely would be able to commit to time on weekends and some weekday evenings to participate in cla- *ahem* guild activities.
I'm on the east coast of Australia, which is what, GMT +10?
I'm not an experienced MMORPG player, but many years of online gaming have given me a pretty good idea of what being a good team player means, and that's precisely what I am. Supporting the team I've found is a lot more fun in the long run than running off and being a hero. So my online experience is pretty much FPS: BF2/2142, Team Fortress, Counter Strike, COD4, etc. But I've been gaming on the PC since computers had speeds measured in single-digit megahertz, so you name it, I've probably given it a try.
I played Games Worshop products for many, many years (too many, really) and that's why I decided to get into WAR. I'm currently getting the feel for the game in the Open Beta, and will be ready to go come launch. I've also done a fair bit of role playing, both in PC RPGs and pen and paper D&D.
Ummm... not sure what else to put here; I think if I put much more information down this application is going to look more like an application form for a dating website, so I'll leave it at that. Apologies if I've gone about this the wrong way.
