I was browsing the Warhammer Alliance forums and I saw the guild recruitment threads for TOG. A group of 25+ year old gamers? A guild that understands that family time restricts gaming time? That some-times work requires me to work a 12 hour day and I am absolutely buggered when I get home so raiding is out of the question? Yes please!
First things first, the requirements:
Over 25: yup. Sitting happily on 36.
Read and agree to code of conduct/AUP/Forum & server guidelines etc: believe it or not, I actually read them all, and I agree to them. In fact, the
Signature and Avatar Guideline section sold me on TOG, the guidelines for an acceptable avatar speak volumes on the sort of people that TOG are.
Now, a little about my favourite subject, me! Happily married with an instant family of a 10 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. Gainfully employed as a public servant with NSW health as an equipment officer for the operating suite of the east coast's bussiest trauma hospital. I am a true nerd/geek, appreciating all sci-fi, particularly brittish sci-fi (yes, I can quote classic Dr Who for all doctors, and Avon is my hero). I have a decently warped sense of humour, and appreciate good food, cigars and wine. Physical location is Newcastle, NSW.
Gaming experience with MMOs is too long in WoW (my guild on Aman Thul died in the post-BC frenzy unfortunatley, great guys. So if there are any from Pure that remember Iaru, cheers mate!), a dabling in Eve (got a battlecruiser and then got bored with the game) and COH/V. From feedback I have had from guildies in the past, I am a good team player. I actually have the skill of listening to group leaders and following instructions.
In conclusion, I would like to be considered for membership of the TOG community, particularly guild membership on both Ironclaw and Darklands.
Feel free to ask me any questions you want to, I'm pretty open about myself.
Hygric.
