Default applying for membership? Are you kidding?

C'mon guys, it's a bulleting board, a discussion forum, a place to hang out. It's not a recruiting station fer cryin' out loud.

Ahem! Having jumped thru the hoops on the registration screen, I am hereby announcing my membership here. I am definitely an old coot, have bought and gotten rid of many MMORGs in the past, and right now, with all the bugs, and the lack of cooperative play, and the lack of intuitive player to player chat, and the lack of a simple manual for the nuts and bolts of the game, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning is likely to go the same way, especially at $15/month.

So that's my intro and my .02 on this game.

Hi, everybody, nice to be here.

It's a recruiting station. Are you blind? That's why it's called the Barracks. It's where they sign you up for forced marches in biting winter winds through mud and ice. It's where they promise to make you tough by making you run miles with a sack full of rocks. It's where they starve you and leave you out on your own in the dark when you don't obey orders instantly. It's where they....well you get the picture.....

It's my belief that the whole "must say you have read and agree" to this thing is so that when we find someone has lied about their age, we can sack them from thr site swiftly and without remorse.

It happens more than you think, though most younglins get in and get annoyed by us old fogeys fairly quick. It isn't hard to spot em.

The world has changed since those halcyon days of simple BB's. Now there are lawyers and money. Online communities are more than just a B.B. or discussion board. TOG is the culmination of tens of thousands of man hours representing thousands of players across many games. All we ask is for you to read our rules, abide by them and be over 25.

Peace.

Talking OK I get it (I think)

So this is in addition to the registration process, where, I think, I've already done some of this stuff. (I may have forgotten, the mind goeth....)

OK, one formal application post coming up!

Anyone can register to post on the public section of the forums. You have to agree to these things to get access to the members area, which is quite extensive. This is a great site with tons of knowledge on many subjects.

Now, get that app in and get accepted.
