Hello TOG –

I am from Los Angeles, Ca, USA, female, 58 yrs old and have been interested in video/computer games since early 1990s. I even worked at a major game company for about a year when in my 40s. I am also interested in game design and scripting. I hope to be the oldest game designer in the world lol. I have an MFA in Cinema/Television emphasis Screenwriting (I know some of you just ran screaming from the room after reading that) though I do not work in the industry. I wanted to mention these interests in case anyone else out there liked to discuss games and what makes them work and not work.

I have only been playing MMO for about 3 years. I play World of Warcraft, a 70 priest, 29 hunter twink and a scattering of alts. I also have a 42 lvl Dark Templar and 32 Guardian in the Age of Conan. I want to start over in WoW because I leveled my priest pretty much alone and did very, very few instances. I feel I never really experienced the game or learned to group and heal properly. AoC is a bit on hold. I am not playing much right now, but jump on and off. I’m not the greatest player, but respect other players’ invested time and energy. I do have a sharp sense of humor and enjoy others who do also. I don’t forget it is a game.

Other games I played in past include Half Life, Duke Nukem, a little Mech Warrior, the old Sierra adventure games, Pitfall, Zork Nemesis, Spycraft and have text games. And, yes, I do remember the original Pong and Pac Man. Hehe. Who knew?
