Noob to forum

Hi, everyone,

Just joined this site yesterday, and was kinda gratified to find it. I play World of Warcraft, I am retired librarian, just retired this year, and am enjoying it tremendously, even though the market has fallen thru the floor.

But I continue to game, and one of the things i have found is that most of the players are way young, but I have yet to run into anyone completely unreasonable and quite a few who are really helpful and nice.

My WOW toons include a Lvl 66 Night Elf Hunter, Lvl 31 Draenei Paladin, and a Lvl 13 Gnome Mage. On the horde side I have a Lvl 24 Blood Elf Warlock. I have played since February and mostly soloed with my hunter (Wolfang), but recently have started played with other people in the guise of Lighte, Rhaine, and Myste.

I play way to much now.

Anyway, I would love to hear from others as to their experiences in the game, and if there is a guild in WOW for older players or, in my case, old players.

So please reply to my post, any of u out there that r WOW players. I would love to see ur thoughts.

we recently had someone get disgruntled about our application policies, but it is very simple and very quick. Here is a snippet from the sticky at the top of the barracks:

If you would like to join TOG, we ask that you make a new thread in the "Barracks" forum introducing yourself.

There are some key things you MUST state in order to be considered for membership. These include:
You are over 25.
You have read and AGREE to abide by the TOG Code of Conduct
You have read and AGREE to and abide by the TOG Acceptable Useage Policy (AUP)
You have read and AGREE to abide by the Forum & Server Guidelines
You have read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Document.
You have read and AGREE to abide by the Signature and Avatar Guideline.
Some idea of your geographical location and the times that you play will also help. These things can also be entered in your USER CP (top left corner of screen). Updating this information allows people to know where you are in the world and helps coordinate events.

If you like, you can also say a bit more about yourself: your gaming history, what you do for a living, whether you have a family, what some of your other interests are, etc. - this information is optional but welcome.


So, just say that you have read and agree to all of those things and that you are over 25, which it sounds like you are, and you will be in like Flynn. There is a very extensive WoW community here that you can have access to once you become a full member. This is just to make sure that if anyone is proven to NOT be old enough or doesn't play by the rules of TOG that they can be sent away with out any complaints.
