Hello everyone, I would like to begin by telling you how happy I was to discover a kinship/guild that caters to older players, or mature if you like.
Personally, I have discoverd over the last 8 or 9 years playing games like EQ,EQ2,WoW,Vanguard and others, is that community and enjoyment share a link when playing MMOs, after all these are social games.
To me a good community and guild is one thats acts at the very least with simple good behavior,(treat people the way you would like to be treated) whether it be what people say to each other or a lot of times what they do to each other.
I would like to become a member of ToG because we both share in this simple philosphy.
A bit about myself,
My name is Mark, I'm 37, I'm married, I have a teenage daughter, I have two westies that get treated like children, I live in a house in the country south-west of Richmond,VA, I grew up in East Greenwich,RI, I attended VCU art school, I worked in CT as a poker dealer, I work part-time for a small carpet cleaning business, I like red wine, Bass Ale and after dinner cigars, I like to drive my VW GTi, I like BBC television shows like Top Gear, James Burke and Ray Mears, I am a proficient guitar player, and I like playing MMOs
ok, I think that is enough for now and probably TMI

If we have anything in common feel free to discuss it with me.
Now as far as my gaming toons go, my mains are always healers. EQ-cleric, EQ2- templar, WoW-preist. I just like being able to heal. I always admired the bard class too so when LotRO came out it was a no-brainer picking minstrel as my main class.
I consider myself a skilled player of the healing class which really goes all the way back to my old EQ days where grouping and keeping the tank alive was essential to win. I also have many hours, (too many) of raid experience. Although falling asleep in my chair does not appeal to me as much as it used too. For my current lifestyle, LotRO seems to be the perfect MMO for me. A little bit of this, and a little bit of that if you know what I mean.
Well I think that will do it for now. Please contact me if you have any questions and thank you for considering me as a member of TOG.
Bye for now, Mark
