Dear fellow gamers

Why ToG
After getting back into the MMO scene with Warhammer Online, I am eager to join a community of fellow minded players who love gaming ... but also have commitments. ToG has always appealed to me as you all seem to have a great perspective on how gaming fits into a healthy lifestyle. Over my years of playing MMO's I have ran into and grouped with many ToG members and have never had a bad experience with them.

As such, I would love to join The Older Gamers as a community and specifically, the guild formed in Warhammer Online, Darklands Server, Destruction

A bit about me
I work as a software engineer with a good friend Roshengar who was recently accepted into ToG. I live in sunny Newcastle and moved here after school for Univeristy, but I grew to love the relaxed feel of the town and the surfing lifestyle and now couldn't think of anywhere else I would rather be. I have strong interests in fishing, surfing and computers and am also a volunteer member of the "Native Animal Trust Fund" which is essentially an native animal rescue and rehabilitation service. Oh, and I am married to the most wonderful girl in the world who shares my love of all things nerdy ... except MMO's

Gaming History
Well, I have fond memories of Mario, Alex the Kid and Sonic the Hedgehog. I was blown away getting my first computer (386) and playing Prince Of Persia. I remember getting in trouble becuase I was staying up all night playing Diablo and had school the next day. Duke Nukem was my first "networked" experience and I still smile when I think of my 3DFX Voodoo card that I got when I started Uni. I have played far too many games since then.
WoW took over after I got married, and finally my wife had enough and I decided it was best if I quit (And I vowed never to commit that heavily to a game again). Since then I have checked out a few MMO's looking for a more casual game I can play with mates including: HG:L, Tablula Rasa and Conan. I finally have found Warhammer and it is fitting the bill nicely ... but I can't wait for Diablo III
