TOG - The Older Gamers

Hello everyone,

I'm 29 years old and currently playing Word of Warcraft. Finally as a matter of fact because I've played Final Fantasy XI [Tyre-Wyre] since 2003 until earlier this year when I decided to quit. I was member of a social Linkshell called Boundless Souls and I've been a big fan of these mature social type of guilds. After playing FFXI quite hardcore Boundless Souls came to an end and I joined a real endgame Linkshell. But that was way too hardcore for me. A lot of mandatory events; and mandatory ToD camping really broke the game for me (in FFXI that means standing 6 hours in an area doing nothing but wait for a dragon to pop; and have a small chance of claiming the dragon as there is a lot of endgame competition). I've spent a bit of my time alone in my old Linkshell and decided to quit FFXI; I truly missed that 'virtual' family feeling. Then I spoke to a couple of very dear real life friends who played WoW, and they convinced me to give it a try. I did. Three months ago I started WoW. Now I'm totally happy with my lvl 70 Rogue (mutilate/dagger) and looking for a new mature, friendly, respecting and social clan.
Dallandra said I might be interested in ToG. She even invited me during a fun level 60 raid, which I loved. Of course I'm not the most skilled player as I just grinded to 70 and there is still a lot to learn, but the atmosphere was absolutely great. Friendly people, lots of laughter, a very nice comforting group to be.

7. Additional information about myself: I play this game for nearly 3 months now. I used to be vocalist in a band, but I stopped with that due to carreer moves. I work as a webdesigner for a healthinsurance company in The Netherlands, which I really like. My employer doesn't mind me starting at 11.00 in the morning, so that's why I'm online during the late hours. Although, that's about to change since I recently got a wonderful Siberian Husky pup. I love reading, drawing and study ancient manuscripts or scientific material. I like humor a lot. Music is one of my biggest passions. That'd be hardrock, and several types of metal. I also design websites beyond the scope of my regular job and write web/seo friendly texts. I like hanging out with my friends at pubs, having a beer or enjoying some good comedy show. I like movies a lot and television series of which Friends is my favorite. Godfather trilogy, Quentin Tarantino and the combo Tim Burton/Johnny Depp are my favorite movies. Satyricon, Devil Doll, Ayreon, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Dimmu Borgir are amongst my favorite kind of music. Well, I have a lot of interests, really.
