Oi-oi! Thirty-mumble or other from the UK here, sort of "between games" at the moment but rather pleased to note there are gamers of the older variety about. I'm also finding the absolute and complete aversion to voice in gaming means I can't find a guild that will touch me with a bargepole but meh...guess I'll have to find people who can type!

Aye I have done, but the communities of MMOs has been swandiving rather nastily to the point I'm rather cautious what I join and when - every time I log onto an MMO forum it's a flamefest, rather appalled, really. I have been playing (naughty, naughty me) a server a friend of mine had set up privately (ahem) which meant we managed to avoid the unwashed, textspeaking masses but he has real life committments.
