Hello,
ABOUT ME;
I'm a 36 year old PC gamer based in Tokyo, Japan, looking to join TOG.
I most recently came across some TOG members in Warhammer Age of Reckoning and that is the game that I am currently playing the most. I'm a Warrior Priest on an Oceanic server and (for the reasons listed below) would like to join a Guild that I know has the same mature approach to gaming online that I do!
MY GAMING BACKGROUND;
The first TV gaming at home that I did was using a knockoff "Pong" console in the late '70s and early '80s, before starting to get into early PCs like the ZX Spectrum and ZX-81 - countless hours of early youth lost in Manic Miner, Jetpac and Knight Lore etc...
The first pen and paper was D&D 1st ed, but I grew up more just enjoying reading the rules and backstory of anything and everything I could lay my hands on from White Wolf to Palladium (
Robotech, Rifts, TMNT etc) with a bit of
Traveller thrown in. All this took me to Games Workshop and the early years of Warhammer 40K and regular Warhammer. Then, after moving to Japan years ago a friend and I finally got back into playing 40K (after a 20 year break!) - so when WAR online came out I had to try it!
WHY TOG?
I'd like to join TOG because I have seen TOG members around on alot of PC games I have played over the years online (Battlefield series etc.) Also the members I have talked to have always been friendly and helpful - as well as the first to "Whisper" some help in answer to a noob question from me! Essentially, I'd like to have the opportunity to play with mature gamers on a more regular basis - and do for others what TOG members have often done for me!
I'm in Tokyo Japan, which is 8 hours ahead of GMT at the moment (and I think one hour behind Sydney, Australia.) I've lived here for around 13 years, dividing my time between Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo.
Finally, I have read the FAQ, and understood and agree to the guidelines explained on the site (and I am older than 25!) I believe my CP has all the settings correct!
Hope to be on the boards and in-game with you all soon!
