Hi I'm Antiquus, and I play Eve Online. Discovered the TOG corporation office in Charmerout station because my corp has an office in the same station and it led me here.
I'm so old we won't about that, but I have 20 grandchildren ( it's true). I game with older people mostly, although some are still in college. One thing I've noticed is that maturity is a result of personality rather more than age. I played with 14 year olds that are great to play with, and I've played with 40 year old drama llamas.
Eve if you don't know has a lot of more mature players, the way the game is structured it takes patience to progress, and you get experience being in game a lot, but progression is time-based and there is no advantage for 14 year old kids that play 10 hours a day in their progression over the 30 year old with a baby and a mortgage playing 2 hours a day, so they go elsewhere looking for rewards for their skillz. This leveling of the field for the adults results in adults not only playing more, but really controlling what is going on and how the game is played.
I've played many other games going back to the days of the Apple II, many FPS games and I used to play Tribes competitively. I discovered MMORPGs and played Guild Wars, WoW, and Warhammer Online but got tired of their limitations and went looking for something truly challenging which I found in Eve.
I'm interested in what older gamers play and why. I do know that gamers as they get older don't stop gaming

and the seem to get better at picking out interesting games. Eve is my first love, but a good session of
For Eve specifically I'd like another place to talk over Eve and what it is how to do things, without the drama that Eve's forums or alternatives like Scrapheap Challenge. I PvP some, my corp is a member of Dara Cothrum and holds 0.0 space in Cloud Ring, but I and my corp are chiefly T2 ship builders and manufacturing and invention is our strength.
