I'm 99% a Steam gamer these days, and want to play games like Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, etc.

I'm a bald, nerdy Australian system administrator.

My gaming chronology goes something like this:
Age 7: Donkey-kong and its handheld kin.
Age 9: Ghostbusters on the C64 at school. Oh yes!
Age 13: Carmen Sandiego on the Apple II, also at school.
Age 16: My first PC, an IBM XT, on which I played Ancient Art of War and Ancient Art of War at Sea. Mmmm, PrintShop and Word Perfect 5 and other cool old things which have yet to be outdone.
Since then: all kinds of PC games. Too many to count. Tried various consoles (owned a dreamcast, for example) but never really liked them much.

I played and was addicted to all the Civilization games, plus Alpha Centauri, Colonization (and the remake).

I also play and write RPGs and have done for years, will play any board game, dabble in WarHammer 40K, go geocaching when my GPS works, etc.

I want to join TOG because I want to play online with people who are child-like, as opposed to childish.
