Hi TOG,

I thought I would pop my head in here and post to introduce myself, as I would like to try join up with the community that is TOG.

I'll cover off the "suggested" listings, then I will add anything else that comes to mind.

What games do I currently play online?
LOTRO on Elendilmir - This is where I decided to apply for TOG
TF2

Other games I occasionally play online (I have an account on each, tend to only have one subscription active at any given point in time though)?
Age of Conan
World of Warcraft
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning

Other games I play?
I think this list is to extensive to complete. Suffice to say I play a lot of different games, Bioshock is one of my favourites, even though it is single player.

The Next MMO that has my attention?
Champions Online

The first console I owned?
Ummm... actually it was a Playstation 2. Parents never wanted us to have a console, so had to wait til I was old enough to get one. Dad did have a PC growing up, so spent many hours playing Pacman, Asteroid, Captain Comic and Commander Keen. Then when the first CD-ROM was released, I moved on to playing "Jones in the Fast Lane", which came with the drive... boy that drive brings back memories, with the ejectable tray...

I am a true gamer/nerd at heart, and I play some form of paper-based role play game once a fortnight. First started playing D&D 3rd Edition, but tend to play White-Wolf a lot lately. Currently I am the "alternative GM" for our RPG group and planning my next game... tossing up between writing/running a Buffy/Angel RPG, Shadowrun or Conspiracy X. They all seem like a lot of fun. So many decisions.

Why do I want to join TOG?
Well the answer is pretty basic. I am a mature minded gamer, who plays games for fun (albeit casually). I have seen TOG around in a lot of games I have played over the years, and reaslise that the membership is generally of a like-mindset. SO I am hoping to join, in order to increase the fun I have, as the gaming experienced is enriched by a good guild/clan/group of mates playing with you. I also believe that gaming is a hobby, not a life, and in reading the TOG FAQ's it would appear TOG thinks pretty much the same thing.

Geographical location:
Sydney, Australia. I tend to play something most nights of the week (after about 7:30) and weekends when I am not doing something else lol.

Other things of note:
I dunno what else to say really. I think I have expressed myself to a level where you find acceptable, and perhaps how I will fit into the community well. I enjoy a good book, or a good movie (or indeed a good beer) when I am not gaming, gaming just makes up a part of my life.

I hope this is a good enough ramble, if you want to know me more, by all means, just ask me.

I was going to give EQ2 a bit of a go one day. Been hoping they would bring out a free trial period or something. Yet to find one though.

There is a trial period, goto Station.com – Free Trials and at the bottom of the page is a 14 day free trial of Everquest 2.

Be careful though, there is Everquest (Everquest gives only 10 day trial), and Everquest 2.

Wonderful. I'll go check it out now. I was looking for the trial a while ago, and never had any luck. So I moved onto LOTRO amongst other things.

But now... Starting the download soon as the launcher installs
