Default [DONE] Seeking a home in LotR:O and beyond!

Greetings Older Gamers! My name is Mat and I am a MMOGaholic...

I've played *every* (yes, EVERY ONE) MMOG since Meridian 59, many of them from beta to boredom and am currently taking a break from a bad PvP focused experience (*cough* DFO *cough*) to just enjoy a well put together game. LotR:O is currently the only game although I look forward to Jumpgate:E and Mortal Online.

I first ventured into the online gaming world as a BBS user and later SysOp, running up major long distance bills and parental rage in my attempts to be first to put up door games on my BBS and obsession about my Trade Wars alliance! Enter the USAF, marriage and college and I dropped out of the scene for a few, totally missing the MUD craze and not returning until the Realm and M59 hit the scene. Been a consistant MMOGer since.

As a MMOGer, I really enjoy the social aspects of each game and the competitiveness of PvP. Unfortunately, there has yet to be a PvP game to rival UO (and honestly, I'm sure it's been idealized in my memory along with others!) so my search continues on. I do enjoy a good PvE experience if there's purpose and content behind a constant grind and so far LotR:O seems to be just that. I'm really enjoying just exploring the world and not ripping through quests as would be my normal focus....hurry to the top and all. The guys I gamed with previously are still in DFO with no intention of leaving and have taken on griefer roles I'm not capable of assuming so it was time to find a new home and new start. Hope I can find such here...The Older Gamers seems to epitomize everything a guild should...support and comraderie, a relaxed atmosphere and most importantly, people I can better relate to at my ripe old age of 34 than some of the younger crowd that I was gaming with in the last few!

Prior gaming names have been:

Meridian 59 - Aidan Macclau
UO - Derthal (And every possible spelling of such)
EQ/AC - Mace
DAoC - Mace
Shadowbane - Mace
All others - Bardaji or Tartr (or some spelling variation of such)
LotR:O - Wuzabi (Warden), Tartr (RK) and Tarter (Hunter)...I enjoy each of these classes and have leveled all to 18-20. Should the guild be in need of any of these particular classes or another I will gladly focus on leveling that one exclusively.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there Tartr,

Great to have you with us and Welcome to TOG and the Osgiliath Guard.

Now that your application has been fully approved you just need to head over to the Character Registration Thread and post your Character(s) there.

We can then be on the lookout for you in game to get you an invite to the Kin.
The Kin don't have any "requirements" for any particular type of characters, so feel free to develop all or one as you prefer.

Look forward to catching up with you in game, Cheers.
